It is located in the Atlantic Ocean north of Cuba, Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti) and the Caribbean Sea, northwest of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and southeast of the United States of America (nearest to the state of Florida).
Originally inhabited by Arawakan Taino people, The Bahamas were the site of Columbus' first landfall in the New World in 1492. Although the Spanish never colonised The Bahamas, they shipped the native Lucayans (as the Bahamian Taino settlers referred to themselves) to slavery in Hispaniola. The islands were mostly deserted from 1513 to 1650, when British colonists from Bermuda settled on the island of Eleuthera.
The Bahamas became a Crown Colony in 1718 when the British clamped down on piracy. Following the American War of Independence, thousands of pro-British loyalists and enslaved Africans moved to The Bahamas and set up a plantation economy. The slave trade was abolished in the British Empire in 1807 and many Africans liberated from slave ships by the Royal Navy were settled in The Bahamas during the 19th century. Slavery itself was abolished in 1834 and the descendants of enslaved and liberated Africans form the bulk of The Bahamas's population today.

Hotels & Resort in Aruba island (caribbean)

Hotels and resort in Aruba island

Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino (Marriot): Luxurious Renaissance Marriott resort on a private 40-acre island paradise. Its tropical climate is moderated by constant trade winds from the Atlantic Ocean.
This island is divided into the northeast and southwest coasts. The southwest has the white sand beaches, turquoise seas, and warm waters. The northeast coast, exposed to the Atlantic, has a few white sand beaches, rough seas with treacherous currents and rocky coastline.
The climate is tropical marine, with little seasonal temperature variation. Because of its location south in the Caribbean there is very strong sun, but a constant light breeze keeps the temperature pleasant. (These persistent winds out of the east shape the island's distinctive, lop-sided divi-divi trees.) The weather is almost always dry, with most rain showers coming at night and lasting only a little while. It was thought that this ship was supplying German U-Boats in the Caribbean and after Holland was invaded in 1940, the captain was given notice to surrender the ship. Instead of surrendering the ship to the Dutch Marines the captain sunk the ship by blowing up the boilers. (The crew swam to shore, and were taken POW and shipped to Bonaire.) The joke you will hear is "They did not want to surrender the cargo and they also wanted to provide future tourists with a site to see." The remains are off of Malmok beach. After the war, the kaptain and his crew purchased their former POW camp and converted it into a hotel. This beach also has some of the best snorkeling on the island.
San Nicolaas Beach
Eagle Beach : Often called "1 of the 10 best beaches in the world"
Hadikurari Beach a.k.a Fisherman's Huts. This is where the High Winds Pro AM windsurfing world championship is held every June.
Palm Beach White sand and excellent swimming conditions in calm water. Nearby hotels allow you to use public areas for changing. Accessible by bus, car or taxi.
Malmok Beach
Renaissance Island: A private island accessible by ferry only if you stay at the Renaissance Resort and Casino. The island is divided into 2 beaches: Iguana Beach and Flamingo Beach. (When you visit each side it is clear which is which!) The Iguanas are fed on the dockside by Iguana Beach while the Flamingoes congregate on the other beach.

in Aruba island

Aruba island:

Language can be seen as an important part of island culture in Aruba. Papiamento is a language that has been evolving through the centuries and absorbed many words from other languages like Dutch, English, diverse African dialects, and most importantly, from Portuguese and Spanish. However, like many islands in the region, Spanish is also often spoken. English has historical connections (with the British Empire) and is known by many; English usage has also grown due to tourism. Other common languages spoken based on the size of their community are Portuguese, Chinese, German and French. You can also rent a car or jeep at the Queen Beatrix airport or through the hotel concierge. Additionally there is a bus system called "Arubus."
You can find city/island buses at a main station right downtown. Friendly drivers and some riders will help you choose routes and provide commentary on stops and sights. Fares are quite modest.
Because Aruba is small, consider not renting a car until you know what you want to do. Many activities are central to the resort area of the island and are within walking distance. Renting cars/jeeps are easy and many rental companies provide pickup service from area hotels.

Aruba island

Aruba is renowned for its white, sandy beaches on the western and southern coasts of the island, relatively sheltered from fierce ocean currents.
Visit to this Island : Aruba's Queen Beatrix International Airport is located near Oranjestad (capital) . A country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Aruba has no administrative subdivisions. Unlike much of the Caribbean region, Aruba has a dry climate and an arid, cactus-strewn landscape. This climate has helped tourism as visitors to the island can reliably expect warm sunny weather. Aruba It has a land area of 193 km² and lies outside the hurricane belt.
Aruba is a generally flat, riverless island in the Leeward Antilles island arc of the Lesser Antilles. Aruba is renowned for its white, sandy beaches on the western and southern coasts of the island, relatively sheltered from fierce ocean currents. The northern and eastern coasts, lacking this protection, are considerably more battered by the sea and have been left largely untouched by humans.
The isothermal temperature of Aruba's pleasantly tropical marine climate attracts tourists to the island all year round. Temperature varies little from 82 °F, moderated by constant trade winds from the Atlantic Ocean. Yearly precipitation barely reaches 500 mm (19.7 in), most of it falling in late autumn. Most tourist hotels are located on the leeward side of the island, providing better weather and enjoyment of beaches and ocean.

The Caribbean islands

The Caribbean islands & Sea are an extensive archipelago in the far west of the Atlantic Ocean, mostly strung between North and South America. They've long been known as a resort vacation destination for honeymooners and retirees, but a small movement toward eco-tourism and backpacking has started to open up the Caribbean to more independent travel.
To the south and southeast of Florida, are several relatively large islands:
Cuba
Cayman Islands
Jamaica
Navassa Island - uninhabited wildlife refuge
Haiti - western Hispaniola
Dominican Republic - eastern Hispaniola
Puerto Rico
The archipelago
In an arc between the Greater Antilles and along the north coast of South America are dozens of small tropical islands:
The Bahamas - a cluster of islands north of the Greater Antilles and southeast of Florida.
Turks and Caicos Islands - a cluster of islands south of the Bahamas
Bermuda - some distance to the north of the Caribbean, but commonly associated with the region.
Several countries in South America, Central America, and Mexico have shorelines – and islands – in the Caribbean
Aruba
Anguilla
Antigua and Barbuda
Barbados - the "little England" of the Caribbean
British Virgin Islands
Dominica
Grenada - "The spice isle"
Guadeloupe
Martinique - the "little France" of the Caribbean
Montserrat
Netherlands Antilles
Saint Barthelemy
Saint Kitts and Nevis
Saint Lucia
Saint Martin
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Redonda
Trinidad and Tobago
Virgin Islands

New Year Celebrate in Virgin Island US : Travel

Travel and Vacantion to Virgin Island US, and Celebrate the New Year and Party in this Island, cruise and Find the best Hotel and motel in Virgin Island.

This Island is best for new year holiday with you or family vacantion, Virgin Island with beauty beaches, best nightlife and great for shopping.
